What is Classic’s file structure?

Classic uses an embedded and fully bundled Sybase (an SAP company) Advantage Database System (ADS) in a client-server environment that ensures your data stays safe and secure, gives the system a very high degree of reliability, and helps Classic provide a very high level of scalability.

Our Ultra-thin client-server environment requires very little bandwidth which is ideal for users in remote locations.

 


What database does Classic utilize?

 

Advantage Database System (ADS) – The database is automatically setup by Classic to be self tuning and self configuring and requires no maintenance by the user or the IT department other than the initial install.

 


Is Classic compatible with Macs?

 

Classic can be run on Macintosh computers using Windows emulation or by accessing a Windows system running Classic using Remote Desktop.


What versions of Windows do you support?

Classic uses standard Windows protocols.  Supported versions are Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.

Do I need another server running another operating system?

No. UNIX/Linux is not required or supported.
