Director’s Address

It has been a while since the last Classic Chronicle and there has been quite a few new developments and further bedding in our current processes.

One of the recent developments in Classic is the “Mobile Requisition System” – This can be used on IOS or Android phones as well as simply as a web approval. The value to users of this system is the ability to manage work while on the move as there is no requirement to log into Classic to approve requisitions, as all updated through the web. We are hoping that more clients see a use for this product and look to adopt the module.

All clients should now have access to our online portal. If you record your support calls through the web portal there is email feedback on the status of the call and the actions taken. You can also view all calls you were involved in or added to as a participant. There is also a client knowledge base area – this is an evergreen area and we will be adding to as new items arise.

The market has been unkind to the resources industry of late something that we all hope stages a recovery soon. While we have been impacted there has also been opportunity and Classic have added to our customer base during this time. This I believe is recognition for the great value product that Classic offers for companies in the resources space, our growth in functionality and our ability as a team to deliver a low cost and efficient implementation.

Any contributions you may have on how we can improve Classic further are welcomed and there are a couple of items that we are working on at present that I think many will benefit from.

  1. Electronic submission of the Form 5 anniversary reporting with pre-submission editing stage
  2. JobCosting / GL allocation table processing; allows costs to be allocated by percentage – can be used with purchase orders and invoices.
  3. New reporting engine: can report cross company in a single report.
